Tattoo coverage for black tie event

I've got a posh work event I need to attend in a couple of months and I have a big, forearm tattoo.

Any ideas for cocktail dresses with long sleeves or a shawl / wrap / cardigan type thing I can wear to cover it?

Do you really have to cover it? If so you can get some of that specialty make up that goes over it. It's really good, apparently, and doesn't smudge off.

Or something like this style?

Show it off. It's cool.
Tattoos don't need to be covered up for work events in this day and age

CuriousCatfish · 25/07/2022 14:51

I wouldn't bother hiding it.

@stupidly It depends on the firm and the event. Most professions don't like them and even if you are a celebrated actor they are hell for makeup artists.

@SapphosRock Have you thought of elbow length gloves ... even on just the arm in question? could look glam if not too hot. Very Audrey Hepburn.

SapphosRock · 25/07/2022 15:18

Ooh elbow length gloves is a good shout! I could embrace my inner flapper girl.

@SapphosRock My pleasure! Remember the diamond bracelet over one wrist .... enjoy the event.

I doubt they'd be welcome at corporate world events. So I agree with the OP and would cover it.
