Is duty free cheaper?

I want a new perfume and go away in 2 weeks. How much cheaper is duty free??!

Generally, buy in the country you're travelling to in perfume shop. Unless you're in Switzerland, then don't bother lol

No, it's generally no cheaper. It you could buy things like cigarettes abroad (for example) as they don't have the same tax the uk puts on them.

I’ve been travelling abroad for over 40 years and it used to be fun looking around duty free and choosing a new perfume at say 30% off high street prices.
When I flew in June this year (from Stansted) I would say 99% of things were more expensive than you buy from online retailers.
Just not worth it any more unfortunately.
