Wellies for chunky legs

NC4Now · 24/07/2022 20:37

Off to a festival in a couple of weeks and need a pair of wellies. I have chunky calves.
I don’t really fancy ankle ones - Id prefer high ones, but they always end up wrinkly because my calves are too wide. Any suggestions?

Jileon? www.jileon.com/

Dunlop ones from Amazon

They come up to mid calf and much more flattering than chunky knee high ones!

I've got the Jileon ones. They are very wide.

I had a pair of Jileon and didn't even get a winter out of them.... all pretty pattern over substance. I've got a pair of Aigle Parcours now (my calves are very very wide at 45cm) and they last me around 5 years on average (very active rural dog walker).

Joules have a gusset and buckle on the back to adjust

I usually buy normal men's wellies, they tend to be wider then women's. Then trim the tops off.
Then decorate them in funky colours.

Jileon are amazing

I've found if I buy neoprene wellies they have enough give that I can wear them. They're still water proof and it means you probably have more choice.

I have always had large ankles/calves/legs so I understand the struggle

Muckboots suit my wide calves. These are mid calf very lightweight and comfy. Lots of cheery colours too.

Oh that’s a shame, did you return them? I use mine on the allotment and they’re holding up great.

I second these, you can actually search Amazon for wide calf boots as well. I got wide foot and wide calf!
