It reduces mine to barely there and I apply it every night on nose, cheeks and chin.

I'd swerve the ordinary one though, It irritated my skin and caused more flushing and burning.

I started off with the Paula's Choice at 2% and ordered the smallest sample size. I applied it every 4 nights to start and after a month went to every other night and now every day.

I've since moved to Face Theory at 15% and do this each evening.

Remember to wear SPF each day as it can make skin more sensitive. I double cleanse, tone, eye cream, Azeliac acid then moisturiser.

Do you use the azeliac acid everywhere or just on the areas with rosacea?

CeraVe products calmed my redness.

I have mostly spots more than redness and azelaic acid keeps them away. But it’s the 20% cream I’ve been getting on prescription from my GP (Skinoren). However, last time I tried to fill the prescription all the local chemists said they couldn’t get it. But I found online pharmacists offering it privately for about £15/tube after filling in a form so that’s what I’ve done this time round.

I tried the Ordinary version because it’s cheaper and easier to get hold of, but I found while it felt lovely on my skin, the spots started coming back. It’s only 10% azelaic acid so maybe that’s why?

Try Soolantra instead - life changing for rosacea

I found The Ordinary one has worked really well for me. I had Rozex gel on prescription and didn't find it did very much at all. Started using the azelaic acid instead and the little pimples have gone completely and I'm less red. I use a CeraVe face wash with squalane too and the texture and feel of my skin has improved a lot. I use The Ordinary Buffet Serum too.
