Best Primark in SE?

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 24/07/2022 13:40

We need to go and get 5 peoples with off holiday gear, our local Primark (Croydon) is awful, but can’t face going up to town.

i know the one near Broadstairs is good but it’s quite far for us to get to, any recs for nearer big ones?

The one at Lakeside is pretty good , better than Bluewater .

Comedycook · 24/07/2022 13:45

Charlton is good..plus it's on an industrial park so you can park for free right outside.

Cluckycluck · 24/07/2022 13:49

If you can do a trip to Lakeside the Primark there is really good

BiscoffSundae · 24/07/2022 13:50

I liked Bromley one better than charlton imo

calmandcaffinated · 24/07/2022 13:51

Kingston one is great since they redid it.

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 24/07/2022 13:58

Oh yes forgot about Kingston. Lakeside involved us doing the tunnel, don’t think I’ve got enough Valium (not joking, terrified of tunnels) Charlton sounds promising, Bromley has been vetoed by DD as she went recently and said not enough swimwear?!

My closest primark is Croydon too but I, like you can’t STAND it. So depressing and not alot of selection.

I go to Bromley usually as I find it’s abit better.

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 24/07/2022 14:07

@ArgosKettle we do that for everything, only things we go to Croydon for Hewitts, Boxpark and the train

There's a huge primark in Reading if that helps?

Fair enough I haven’t been in a couple of years, Stratford one is huge but not sure if that’s too far for you and obviously does get busy.

NotRightNowPlease · 24/07/2022 20:04

Crawley is pretty good.

twilightcafe · 24/07/2022 20:10

The Stratford Primark is like a madhouse. Avoid.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 24/07/2022 20:13

Just be warned lots of the summer stuff has been and gone.
took dd shopping for holidays and primark was the place that we struggled the most. Barely any swimwear left and only a few shorts. The new stuff being put out was autumn styles and longer sleeves and trousers rather than shorts. This was on Thursday just gone.

most other stores were the same. Hollister, new look, H&M, all almost out of summer especially low on swimwear.

we ended up ordering from Asos. Still struggling with swimwear though.

i would have thought somewhere like Westfield but then I imagine it’s a similar story in places like Bershka and pull and bear. Oh and Zara was the worst. It was all sale and like a jumble sale.

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 24/07/2022 22:43

Thank you. @UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter not sure what size your dd is but just had a long cart journey and ordered DD two bikinis and a swimming costume from Asda, plenty left in smaller sizes

Thanks. We looked in store but not online.

Startuplife · 25/07/2022 08:20

Bromley was rubbish for summer stuff when I went on Saturday. It might be a bit far but Westfield Stratford was very well stocked yesterday but the queue to pay was insane.

Minoloso · 25/07/2022 08:24

The one at Westfield Shepherd's Bush is good

JasmineVioletRose · 25/07/2022 08:32

Is there still one in town? (London)
