Lightning Bolt Nail Topper

Bought this today in Boots. It's by My Mood.
It's clear but contains little strips of silver, which I assume are the lightening bolts.
I've just applied it on top of Dior Nail Glow and nothing...no little bits of silver.
I've shaken the bottle-still nothing.
It looks as if the brush can't pick up the silver bits.
Have I bought a dud, been ripped off or am I doing something wrong?

Well, at least it's not me! Where did you read the review?

Pour some on a dry sponge and move the lightening bolt filter around with the brush to even them out and then dab on each nail. The sponge will soak up the excess liquid of the polish leaving you with just the glitter.

Warning: It's very effective but it's a bugger to remove!
