Help with clothes for husband

We are heading off to a 4 star hotel abroad later this year.
He is an utter nightmare to take clothes shopping (or, buy online) as he only likes “shooting” type clothes- think check shirts and moleskin trousers. I tolerate this in most aspects, as I cba to keep arguing. However, I need him to have a few pairs of decent, lightweight trousers in particular.
He is 6’ tall, 15 stone and middle aged with a large belly, and trousers never look great as they either go under the paunch and it then sticks out, or on it, which makes him look abit like a telly tubby! Then, he wants to wear braces to keep them up, too.
I am looking for help with trousers in particular, and not wanting to spend loads on ones he probably won’t wear again. Any particular brand of shirt too, that covers larger bellies and looks good.
TIA.

M & S have some great mens chinos in at the moment, they're super stretch, come in regular and slim fit..... my DH loves them, the stretch has left him mind blown and he's a real suit wearer normally....

Thanks, Rina. Have ordered a few pairs, so let’s hope he’s blown away 🤔🤣

DH sounds the same nightmare shape. He gets trousers from Lands End because he can have them hemmed to his short inside leg for free and then they look right. They're good quality, wash well and last. He looks better in traditional or relaxed fit.
