Microblading removal stories

Elmo22 · 19/07/2022 12:29

Hi everyone, looking for some positive tattoo removal stories! Had some bad microblading nearly 5 years ago which faded to a lovely grey with some salmon highlights! I have had 8 laser sessions on my eyebrows which has significantly improved the area but has left me with a yellow glow around the eyebrows.

I have another couple of sessions with the laser booked but i suppose I am looking for reassurance that this will go away completely. I feel so foolish fir getting it done in the first place!!

They definitely will look more natural when the colour fades. I hated mine at first, then liked them and then hated them again when the colour changed. My husband laughed at mine too when they were first done - I looked like an Angry Bird 😂🤭 I just want them gone now after almost 5 years!

Yours are a good shape. Fingers crossed they fade quickly to a more natural look x

Microblading and PMU artist here 🙋🏻‍♀️

I would really not be happy with these. Your artist has over saturated your skin with pigment and they are far too dark for your skin tone and hair colour

The shape is okay but imo a little too big and could be better

If you're really unhappy you need to seek removal now as the sooner you do so the better results

I am not qualified in removal myself (however I keep thinking I must do it as there seems to be so many shitty brow artists about 🤦‍♀️) but I'm part of a forum of qualified artists and some of us are trained in emergency removal. and I can help find you a local removal tech if that is the road you want to go down ?

They should lighten up a little bit but I'm quite concerned about how dark and saturated they are tbh

QuandaleDingle · 28/07/2022 14:49

Also @Mckmck123

What you have is not microblading . It is a tattoo

Mckmck123 · 28/07/2022 17:21

Hi Quandaledingle
does that means it will not fade
it looks so ridiculous on me
I did ask for micro blading and showed her a pic which is nothing like I have got

It is hard to say without seeing in person but your artist was wrong to state it was microblading

Microblading is when individual hair strokes are implanted into the skin using a hand held tool

From what I can tell it looks like your brows were done with a machine - did your artist use something that was plugged into the mains and sounded a bit like a tattoo gun ?

Mckmck123 · 28/07/2022 22:11

Hi Quandaledingle
it was like a pen with with a needle and was plugged in I think
i showed her and ask for natural looking brows but feel she just did what she wanted to-do or what she usually does I think !
I agree, with my hair and skin colour it looks awful and cannot see it toning down enough
i showed her a picture too
i am a bit naive as I hoped they would end up looking like what I asked for and was a bit embarrassed to be insisting.
can I go to someone else and rectified as it is only the 2nd day ?
i appreciate all the info and reply’s I am getting

thanks for your reply
I would be interested in getting someone to lol at my brows as I agree she did keep going over with the ink and I did think it was a bit to much but let her carry on as I felt I had to put my trust in her as she was the expert ??
i should have gone with my gut feeling that it wasn’t right
I feel like a right idiot and like one too
family and friends just laugh and look astonished and though I am laughing am really upset
I messaged the lady who did it she said it will be ok ??

Hi QuandaleDingle,

Any info about people who do removal would be helpful to me too as I think there will still be a shadow there despite my laser removal. I definitely had an eyebrow tattoo - it was a machine ☹️ I did not get what I asked for, although they did look good for a while.

Thank uou!

@Elmo22 where in the country are you roughly ?

Also I've seen you have private messaged me but I can't access them on my phone 🤦‍♀️

cessie322 · 29/07/2022 09:15

Interested in the replies here too. I had mine done in 2019 and after a year I had the tips removed. I always felt they were too long and pointy. It worked well but I was left with that yellow tinge on one. I didn't go back to the removal place for another session as it was a tiny little patch. I then had to get the eyebrows topped up to fix the ends as they were quite blunt, they did a good job on finishing them off. They look better now but overall I would like them removed. There's nothing wrong with them really but I don't like the way they look so 'perfect', it makes them look done iykwim. I'm sorry I messed with them and I definitely didn't think it through. I actually thought they would just disappear into my skin after a few years. I'd be afraid to have them removed now because of the yellow tinge.

Thanks for the reply. I am just outside Glasgow. I don’t think I sent a private message - it was maybe the other lady.

PennyCrayon123 · 08/04/2023 17:46

Did you manage to fade your yellow eyebrows?

Summerslimtime · 08/04/2023 17:52

I need to know now, too!

Elmo22 · 08/04/2023 19:40

Hi everyone, they have faded a bit. With tinted moisturiser, you can barely see the yellow. I think this has been due to the passing of time, a few more laser sessions and some microneedling. I have also been using glycolic acid on my face to help with fading. I really don’t think they will ever go away but they have faded to a more manageable colour. Hope you are all coping with your removal journeys. If anyone has any top removal tips, please share x
