Thin joggers/harem pants

I've got a pair of these from Uniqlo from.a couple of years ago. They're 100% viscose but not sweaty at all. I absolutely love them but can't find a pair like them - Uniqlo has something similar this year but they're shiny and polyester.

Ideally I'd like some which are

  • not too baggy
-cotton or viscose
  • a plain, dark colour (pref black)

Oh, and not expensive ;)

Anyone seen anything like this?

Have a look at forgotten tribes. I got some fabulous trousers and jumpsuits from there this year. Great customer service too.

iklboo · 17/07/2022 09:55

I got some from Amazon. I love them in this weather.

Apric0tjam · 17/07/2022 10:02

Thanks! I'll check those out.

I bought a few pairs from Next over the years. They are really flattering. I’m of a small build but have put on a few pounds over the last year or so and these trousers are one of the few things I feel comfortable in. I’m not sure if next still sell them though

catfunk · 17/07/2022 10:07

I've got some very light ones from Boden.
Their version of the hush harem pants but more a traditional jogger shape

BAM yoga joggers

I got some from Aspiga this year. They’re lovely. It’s quite hard to eliminate vpl with them without just going for the thong though.

Apric0tjam · 17/07/2022 10:43

I'd never heard of Aspiga before and have now been sidetracked into eyeing up their shorts...£60!!! Seems an awful lot for the amount of fabric! But they do look very nice.

I’ve got a couple of pairs of the dashka pants from Thought and wear them all the time as lounge pants. They do them in bamboo/viscose and in cotton (as below) and I’ve had both but slightly prefer the cotton. Both types are extremely comfortable:

M&S have some in plain colours and patterned.

79andnotout · 17/07/2022 21:52

I got some from bamboo clothing. Very soft and comfy.

GettingStuffed · 17/07/2022 22:14

I have some from Next, beware though they seem to be coming up short this year

HowdyDudey · 17/07/2022 22:17

Another vote for Next. So wearable and light

I got some from Amazon. I love them in this weather.

Me too. In leopard print, but came in various colours and patterns. Cost around a tenner. They are fab.

Classica · 17/07/2022 22:25

I got some from Next and they stretched and stretched.

The ones from Matalan are better.

I bought 5 pairs from forgotten tribes. Have been living in them in the hot weather, really cool and comfortable and no need to apply sun cream to legs! 😀

They wash well and dry quickly.

I may buy another pair....

Runningnewbie · 17/07/2022 22:35

following!

Have you a picture or link for these?

PeaceLoveAndCandy · 18/07/2022 06:58

Would someone link to the Next ones please?

RedPandaFluff · 18/07/2022 09:29

Have you tried the Gary trousers from Sweaty Betty? Love them - wash brilliantly, very cool, and they also come in full-sleeve and sleeveless jumpsuit versions. Wearing the sleeveless one right now and I don't feel warm at all . . . I guess it's early, though!

Tiddlywinkly · 18/07/2022 17:17

I second the Sweaty Betty Gary's. I have the trousers and the sleeveless jumpsuit. So comfy and washes really well

Apric0tjam · 22/07/2022 09:21

Thanks, all. The forgotten tribes ones look most similar to what I'm after. The Next/ Matalan/Sweaty Betty ones are all a thicker, jersey fabric and not the same as my beloved old uniqlo ones which are a sort of floaty viscose.

After all that, it looks like it's back to jeans weather where I am!

M&S, I have two pairs I got last year and there were loads of options online. Really light and no sweatiness at all.

I also have a great pair from gap. I have a pair from BAM too but they are thick with a massive waistband so more for winter.
