Chub rub shorts - what size do I need?

I've looked on snagtights and M & S and the shorts come in 8/10 and 12/14. If I'm a 10/12 what size is best? Do they come up small or big?

Normally when clothes come in two sizes I would order both and return but I'm not sure if I can do this with these - are they counted as underwear?

In snag I would size down.

Note that there are 2 different size charts for snag, whether you are curvy or not.

Oh mixed opinions on whether to size up or down. Does anyone know if they accept returns on these type of items?

I size up. I’m a size 12 abc 5’5 so I should be a D but I find that cuts into my waist when I sit down. E is a much better fit. They are tights material so you can’t really go too big

Snags - sized up for me. I love them, so great to wear cooler dresses and skirts in this heat.
