Hoping someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.. my skin has always tended to be dry but in recent times it's more sandpaper dry .
Ive stepped up my routine using hydraulic serum and day and moist moisturiser but it just seems to 'sit' on my skin and would would rub over in sort of a greasy residue when I touch or rub my face ..
how did I get it to just absorb!

Is it in patches or do you mean overall dry?

Have you noticed what makes it worse? Eg: seasons, stress, central heating ect.

I've tried everything over the years. But since February this year I've given everything up and just used Aveeno, morning and night. My skin has never been so good. I've got no skin complaints at all. I previously had dry skin, sometimes black heads, sometimes a few spots, but nothing since.
It's not even a designated face cream, it's the just one in the pump bottle.
I was using the blue one for very dry skin but have now switched to the green one

Do you exfoliate?

if not I recommend either aldi’s glow tonic or if your budget extends the REN one, i use REN and it has transformed my skin. You can use it daily and its much better than a physical scrub.

exfoliation is very important for dry skin. I have extremely dry skin and its taken a good 2 years to find what works for me.

also aldi’s caviar cream range is excellent, or standard blue pot nivea, but i find i have to rub it into my fingers and warm it up for it to blend properly so can be a pain but it works.

also weleda skin food is amazing, i use it as my night cream and wake up with great moisturised skin

I only use Senegence products on my skin. Exfoliator twice a week, cleanser twice a day, climate control and daytime moisturiser in the morning and climate control and evening moisturiser at night. My very dry skin is the best it's ever been.

Lots of good advice there! I really must be better at the exfoliation and hope that helps it.
