Large pores on nose

I'm really struggling with my makeup. The pores on my nose are so big my foundation is gone in 2 minutes - literally!
I've tried niacinamide, retinol, hyaluronic acid.... nothing is making a difference.
Could someone please suggest something to fix this. Current routine is:
Pm - CeraVe cleanser, hyaluronic acid, retinol.
Am CeraVe cleanser, hyaluronic acid, ordinary moisturizer, beauty pie primer, Bobbi brown colour corrector, eldw foundation, powder.
I'm 50, skin is generally dry & dehydrated, but not too wrinkly for my age.

Use acids like glycolic acid for example. Chemical peels are good at reducing pore size and then apply a primer before foundation and set the foundation.

Paula's choice bha toner.

Paula's choice bha toner.

I've used that before and found it a bit drying. I could put it just on my nose though.

It will make your skin really really oily for a week or so and then it should settle and pores reduce after a few weeks. I'm sure this weather is not helping.

@declutteringmymind I've been trying to work out my routine. Do you mind commenting? I need the additional moisture from hyaluronic acid, but I'm not sure I can use hyaluronic acid & BHA together. Do you think they'll work together okay?

I heard that primer with glycerin in can make pores worse.

We have similar concerns and age. Only for me it's not my actual nose, but the skin directly on either side.

I've given up on primers, can't seem to find one that helps. Which Beauty Pie one do you use? I tried the Wonderfilter Velvet Finish one in the big pink pot. Beyond useless.

Your main best friend is acid exfoliation - especially BHA, although I do dabble in other types.

As you're using Retinol at night, to keep irritation to a minimum, perhaps exfoliate in the mornings as little/ often as your skin needs.

Paula's choice has a dizzying array of products in small and large sizes. The one I like is from their Age Resist line, 'Resist Anti-Aging 2% BHA Exfoliant'. I use it most mornings where I'm spot prone, and just twice per week on my better behaved skin. I am also using up my more pricey Elemis Pro-Collagen Tri-Acid Peel and Gatineau Radiance Enhancing Gommage. Got them on QVC daily deals. The Elemis in particular is lovely, but can't justify it at full price. I'll stick to the Paula's Choice one.

I do have to credit my AM SPF too as that seems to smooth my pores out a bit. Ultrasun Face SPF 50+ Anti-Pigmentation. With Retinol you need to have a high SPF. QVC have good deals on Ultrasun and have no quibble returns if you don't like the products (just lose the postage money).

Note, with Ultrasun they say you need to put it on first, before any of your other potions. But that's how they have tested it to give you full day SPF protection. I rarely stick to this unless I'm actually going to be in full sun all day. Otherwise I just wash, tone, serum, moisturise...let it all settle for 10 minutes whilst I dress, put on the Utlrasun, let it settle whilst I do my hair, herd the kids/cats, then apply my make up.

My make: I put a tinted moisteriser and Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder on top, then set it all with Benefit The POREfessional: Super Setter spray.

I'm never going to have glass like skin, but these have made a huge difference and are the best tools I've found so far. Hope this helps :-)
