Aldi Lacura Illuminating Tanning Drops

I do enjoy having a tan (real or out of a bottle) and the Lacura Illuminating Tanning Drops are in stock in my local Aldi. Has anyone tried them? The reviews seem to be positive. Also, they only seem to come in light/medium - I'm olive-skinned. Would they make any difference to my colouring? Thank you.

Actually I’m using then right now and I don’t mind then at all.

Minoloso · 14/07/2022 17:14

I found it too dark and fake looking and tan rubbed off a lot on my pillow. I’ll probably use it on my legs.

IRememberXanadu · 14/07/2022 17:45

@Minoloso was it too orangey?

@Minoloso did you have the light/medium one?

Minoloso · 14/07/2022 18:52

Yes, I mean, it worked but I didn’t like the tone, it was too pronounced. Could try using less perhaps. I’ve used others & they were good, this wasn’t that good in my opinion.

@IRememberXanadu We have them in our local ALDI too. Can anyone say whether they smell ok? I’ve bought several products recently claiming to NOT develop that awful self tan odour but they all do!

I don’t want to put the mockers on your enjoyment of the sun but please take care. My sister and niece are both having treatment for skin cancer at the moment. Not big sun worshipers but very outdoorsy ladies (horses and dogs). The consultant who treated my sister (she’s needed several skin grafts) said the intensity of the suns rays now are more damaging than they were even ten years ago. They’re both quite dark skinned, don’t burn so, just be careful.

I like them! They might be a bit dark if you have fairer skin, but if you’re olive-skinned I would imagine they’d give you a good glow.

Update: I bought some yesterday. So far no difference (I used four drops, mixed with my night cream). Re smell - they don't seem to have any smell.

I e bought these. Only used them for the last couple of days. I'm fair skinned but have just come back from holiday so it maybe too early to tell

CuriousMama · 15/08/2022 00:07

I thought they had that awful wet camel 🐪 smell. Only used them once.

pinkyponkyplink · 15/08/2022 10:21

Mine don't smell. I'm shocked to see the colour difference today though. Will stick to two drops tonight

IRememberXanadu · 16/08/2022 14:41

Mine don't smell either.

How are you finding them @IRememberXanadu ? I've used them for a few nights. Used 2 drops last night as seemed to be a bit dark. Might try missing tonight but I'm impressed with them.

Suzi888 · 16/08/2022 20:29

I bought some, I found the colour ok BUT the fake tan aroma was awful.

I know. I can't believe others can't smell it?

IRememberXanadu · 17/08/2022 14:23

@pinkyponkyplink I like it - I use it every other night, four drops. I do have olive skin and am very pleased with the results.
