Naked

Do you still look at yourself naked or is it something you're not comfortable with?

I never do anymore. I'm huge and I have lots of scars. I get disgusted and disheartened the last time I did.

I like looking at myself naked. I'm wouldn't say I'm conceited because I certainly don't like everything I see, but it's my body and it's served me well so far. I do try to focus on my positive physical attributes though. I.e. wobbly tummy but good legs, flat bum but decent perky boots, not keen on my hands but my feet are quite nice except for the pesky verucca...you get the gist.

I do look at my naked body in the mirror everyday when I get dressed and I think the less you avoid mirrors the more you get used to what you look like and accept it. I don't think anyone is better than you just because they have perkier this and that. Bodies are changeable and the only place you will always 'live' all this self hatred and comparisons are exhausting. Body neutrality is the way to go in my esteem.

I completely avoid looking at myself without clothes and rarely want to look at myself with them either. I am very disappointed in myself and my body. I am 48 and have gained weight in the last year and seem to be completely unable to shift it. Unlike many on here, I feel my body has really let me down. I have a terrible musculoskeletal system, have had major back problems since early 20s which has had a very big impact on me, had to switch jobs, can't exercise much at all. Add in flat feet which give me a lot of pain and I am in pain most of the time. So...no, I hate the way I look. I wish I wasn't like this, it feels awful to be so unhappy with how I look.
