Heels or Trainers

I'm going out this weekend for the first time since before lockdown, I have a beautiful dress that I bought pre-Covid which I never got a chance to wear but it really only looks right with heels. From what I can tell everyone tends to wear trainers out these days. I know I could just wear what I like and sod what anyone else thinks but will I look completely out of touch if I wear heels?

My other option is a dress that would look with trainers but the only trainers I have are the sort that are white with flowers printed on the side, again in the interest of being fashionable, are these a complete "mum" trainer?

I cant wear heels at all these days so I would do for black sandals or maybe white superga or similar with that

I love the dress. I’d wear it with low top converse or converse style.

Dress is lovely. I'd wear trainers (you can get plain white ones for next to nothing in most shops) or chunky sandals/espadrilles.

Wouldn't bother with heels.

You could definitely wear little canvas type trainers. My choice is low top converse or nice flip flops with some bling on them or sandals.

Thanks all, I think I'll have to order some different options and try them with the dress so won't have anything for this weekend but will hopefully be prepared for next time.
