Cotton / linen clothing - best places to buy

Can anyone recommend the best place to buy reasonably priced cotton and linen clothing for this heatwave please?

It seems like increasingly the clothing on the High St is made of viscose and polyester which while it drapes well, it’s hideous on me in this humid weather.

I’ve already looked at M&S, H&M, NEXT and the supermarkets.

I’m a size 16-18 so I don’t really like the way T-shirts cling and wearing them bigger just makes me look shapeless and even larger than I am so I’m looking for smarter tops and shirts.

Definitely Uniqlo - I have 3 linen jumpsuits and 2 linen dresses from there that I wear on rotation in this type of weather; all machine washable.

Thought is always v generously sized as well as having a lot of sale items.

Seasalt has a sale on, its quite expensive but there are some sale clothes so not too bad a price and they do wash well

If you're on a budget, Peacocks are doing a lot of linen right now, including some nice dresses.

New look are doing a lot of cotton/line mix dresses this year. If you type "cotton dress" into the search bar, they all come up, even though the name of the dress doesn't include "cotton".

M&Co have some nice cotton dresses, as well as Sonder studio.

Etsy is good for linen skirts

Primark have quite a few bits in at the moment that are cotton or linen they had some really pretty plain long dresses that are cotton & lined with cotton for £18.00 at the weekend also some sleeveless linen shirts.

Cotton Traders?

I went out looking for a linen shirt the other week and found some in Primark. They're long sleeved and come in about half a dozen colours. Pleasantly surprised. I bought two. One a sort of royal blue and a yellow one.
M&S have a few bits also.

I second Seasalt, most of their summer clothes are cotton or linen. They have some lightweight tops and cotton shirts.
Lots available in the sale still.
Boden is usually good for linen.

Viscose is a breathable fabric, don't necessarily need to avoid it. It's completely differerent from polyester.

Zara have cotton dresses if you can be bothered to trawl. M&S have a few, but mostly pretty crap.

Seasalt don't have anything in that I'd be tempted by personally.

Next usually have a couple of things.

Has anybody seen a cropped black linen shirt, ideally with short sleeves?

Viscose is really awful in hot weather imo.

I've had a good linen vest top from Hobbs and they have some cropped shirts too. Not black though!

Cos, Arket and Zara have nice linen shirts at the moment
