Midi dress for 5'4"

I don't bother with dresses as I find they are always either too short or too long too short never used to bother me but these days my ideal cut is below the knee.

Why is this so impossible to find when I'm average height? Most midi dresses are cut half way down the calf which I could handle but as I'm not 6 foot it lands by ankle and I hate being swamped in material.

Apart from next petite range, which other shops have decent length dresses?

I'm 5'2 and got a lovely midi dress from matalan a few weeks ago. They don't have tons but worth checking.

I really like this dress from Uniqlo (so much so I've just brought it in the two other colours) and I'm 5'5. I think the slightly higher split up the side makes it seem a less overwhelming amount of material. Depends on if you're after a slim style or a more floaty dress though ☺️
