DH and I are attending an event that requires formal wear. Please help size 16 find a midi dress that is 'formal'.

BTW, I don't wear high heels.

I’m going to sound like I work for them but I’m thrilled with the HOBBS website. Nice formal and semi formal dresses, and suggestions on how to finish the look.

What about shoes? WHat's smart yet comfortable? I have dodgy knees and a bad back!

@Winch3Ester totally depends on your budget regarding shoes. i'm thrilled that block heels are back in style. in particular look for ones that are low.
now this is hugely aspirational for me BUT i'm considering investing in a pair of

my research suggests solebliss are very comfy. they have several styles and colors.
