Authentic cowboy boots

Over the last few years I've bought various cowboy style boots but as I tend to wear them daily, they never seem to last me very long. I've decided I'd like to purchase some 'authentic' hardwearing boots (preferably that will last me years) but the price is scaring me a bit, especially as it probably means buying online.

I've heard that R Soles, Sendra and Ariat are good and saw a post suggesting buying them on ebay to make them more reasonable. I've very wide feet so would I be better purchasing up a size (length I'm probably a 4.5) for these brands?

Also, if I'm buying second hand, is it likely the boots will fit and mould to my own feet?

I've seen some brand new Ariat that look a bit more reasonable, so would I be better purchasing those so my own feet can 'mould' them?

Frye boots are hardwearing. You can probably get some fairly cheaply on ebay

Shame you're not a size 6, I have a pair of cowboy boots I bought in America many years ago! I don't wear them as they used to pinch my toes but I couldn't bear to part with them. Needing to downsize now, it's probably time...

Ariat are amazing. I've had mine 11 years and they still look like new

Pop to Nashville and visit Betty Boots, fabulous choice! 😆 I had some pink skull ones picked out, a snip at $995, but utterly fabulous (not that they’d fit my tree trunk legs).
