What to put in a basic new make up bag?

If you were doing a starter make-up bag for a 30 year old what would you put in it?

Basically I’ve managed to leave my vast beast of a make-up bag at home and I’m away for two weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️ But tbh, I’ve realised mine is full of products I never use (and are probably our of date) so I’m seeing this as a challenge / fresh start to strip back and just buy a few key essentials that I’ll use all the time.

Tinted moisturiser
Cheek/lip dual product like Stila convertible or Bobbi Brown pot rouge
Concealer
Mascara
Eyebrow product if needed

I'm very minimalist these days.

• mascara
• primer/moisturiser combination
• lip salve (maybe tinted)
• facial sunscreen

-tweezers!

CC cream (Erborian)
Cream bronzer (Chanel - pricey but lasts aaaaaages)
Liquid blusher (Glossier cloud paint) - quick swipe on eyelids as well as cheeks
Brow pencil (Sleek Makeup micro fine brow pencil)
Mascara (Dior pump n volume in brown)
Lipstick (So. Many. Lipsticks.)

6 products in 6 mins. I also have primer and concealer in my basic bag but don't usually bother with them.

@FreshFaceTime Thanks! I’ve never heard of Glossier - I’ll have to Google (though I’d probably buy it based on how wonderful Cloud Paint alone sounds 😂)

Bb or cc cream
Eyebrow pencil
Glossier cloud paint (only sometimes)
Eyelash curler
Mascara (usually curler is enough but if I want 'more')
Tinted lip balms - I have loads

That's all I carry. I have few more bits at home so liquid liner and eye shadow but very rarely wear it.

Tinted Moisturiser (Erborian CC or BB)
Cream Blush (Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge)
Eye Liner (Laura Mercier Tightener)
Mascara (Collection 200 Clear for brows & lashes and Clinique Lash Power)
Under Eye Concealers as I have very dark circles (LA Girl peach corrector and ELF flawless brightening concealer)

I'm addicted to lipbalm so have these everywhere, some tinted, some not.

@Nc58985 a tip I read about the cloud paint is don't take off the foil hygiene sticker thingy - pierce it with a pin instead. You only need a teeny tiny bit of product so this means you don't waste it by squeezing out too much.

lipstick (one nude from ct, one red from Dior)

This sounds like pure luxury! 😍

If I was starting again I'd have foundation Clinique even better glow, cream blush, mascara Benefit roller lash or one from Lancome, eyebrow powder and clear mascara to set it. Dior quint in Nude Dress or Romantic Voyage and a few lipsticks and Clinique chubby sticks.
