Waxing or threading eyebrows

I don't have my eyebrows done very often but want them done before I go on holiday in just over 3 weeks. The last two times I have had them tinted and waxed, my skin has gone red, sore and almost like burnt.

I've never had threading done. Will It lessen my chance of an allergic reaction? I wanted to try it out beforehand but I've left it too late I think. Would it be done once a month?

Threading lasts a little longer for me but it hurts so bad I'd always go for waxing

Surely that’s a reaction to the tint, not the process ?

I prefer threading, I have very sensitive skin. Take a painkiller about 30 mins before and its not as bad but I guess it depends on pain tolerance. Sometimes my skin goes a little red but it soon settles down.

Do you use retinol in your skincare? If yes that will be your problem. Have a google - I had the same issue.

I'm not aware of any retinol. Nothing is stated on the products I use. I did a patch test before so not the tint

I have mine waxed, really sensitive skin. Once the wax was too hot and I was burnt just like the photo, did not go back to that salon.

Can you ask to see what the wax ingredients are? If there is a preservative in it then this could be causing the issue.

I have mine threaded and I don't don't have any skin issues around the brows. I normally go 3 or 4 days before my holiday or occasion.
I then tint mine at home as easy and having been doing it for years.

Threading, because waxing burnt my skin too.
