Heatwave: what will you be wearing?

I have decided to sod it and wear shorts. For the first time ever at 48. Have always previously avoided them but just can't be bothered caring anymore. So shorts and a strappy vest from H&M it is, as I don't want to throw much money at this short lived event. That said, the heatwaves of the past few summers where I live have been endless, sweaty affairs with no air.

What will you be wearing?

I will likely alternate the shorts with some linen trousers with the same strappy vests. I only own 2 pairs of summer footwear (birks and some trainers) so no problem there.

So, slap a bit of Dove Spa on my legs and arms and off I go into the breathless void..

To all of you that hate shorts I'd definitely try magic shorts, they are so flattering, I wear with vests at home but if I'm popping out I put a linen t shirt over, because the shirts are a closer fit you can wear a looser fit too over...

Back to work from holiday today so a pair of wafty culottes and a pale blue short sleeved fine knit sweater which will show off my tan 😁 #vain

Rest of the week shift dresses including a fine linen dress for the hottest day. Fortunately we have aircon at work.

My legs are like little pipe cleaners so mis cotton dresses for me. I don’t even like how I look in dresses but it’s too hot to care! Nice big sun hat as I’m pale.

I'm in London but feel the cold so probably still jeans!

I’m in Scotland so it’s nowhere near as hot, but today I am in a polka dot midi dress from Monki with Birkenstock Arizona sandals.
