Glowy make up

Can anyone help me look more glowy/dewy.
I'm currently going through a divorce and the stress is taking its toll on my skin!

Id love something to add some dewyness to my dull skin. Maybe a creamy blush or something.

I also need a good concealer.

All in a budget, I should add.

Best for glowy skin is Vita Liberata Beauty blur.

Under eye concealer Nars.

Not very budget friendly but I've tried a lot of others and these work best out of the not horrendous price range.

Go to a Mac counter and ask them to do you a dewy look. They’re amazingly helpful & will spend time making you feel fabulous and you can find the right product. Tell them what you want & they’ll get you there. (I don’t work for them honest!! I always go to the counter and they’re brilliant.) Go with plenty of time! X

Charlotte Tilbury, they have stands in all the big department stores, ask the staff, I had a free trial and bought a foundation £32 it's fab, I can't read the name on the little sticker on the bottom tho so I can't be any more help 😉

Rimmel's Lasting Radiance.

Thin Lizzy concealer. It's scar standard concealer, which I don't have, but is excellent and lasts forever.

Pressed too soon. I used Thin Lizzy concealer when I had horrendous facial bruising after periodontal surgery and wanted to look vaguely human when back in the classroom. It's very good indeed and I use it for the under eye shadows.

If your skin is tired and dull, make up won't do the job, you need skin care. Try the Caroline Hirons book for a age specific basic skincare routine - she says there's a time and place for matte skin, and it's when you're dead. I'm inclined to agree.

Get a liquid highlighter (with shimmer not glitter) and then place some over the cheeks, between the eyes, Cupid's bow. Depending on your foundation (if it's not too high-coverage) you get this beautiful glow from within, otherwise put it over your foundation with a light hand over the cheeks (or you'll end up looking like a Christmas Tree). You don't need to spend big bucks on highlighter imho, go to Superdrug and ask for help, tell them no glitter as it can be ageing.
I like sth called Drops of Glow from The Body Shop, you can mix it with your usual foundation to make it dewy, you don't need to get new foundation if yours is good.
Concealer: if you don't want to spend much Shape Tape from Tarte lasts a while and it's great, also works well on face. Bobbi Brown is pricier and only worth it if you have racoon eyes, not great for face, only for dark circles.
Honestly, I know you didn't ask, but get an effing fab red lipstick. When you look in the mirror nothing says I'm ready to take on the world more than a fabulous red lipstick does. Fab Red lipstick is like Xanax for the face and for the brain!

Sorry I wasn't clear, put the highlighter under you regular foundation!

On a budget- Collection gorgeous glow filter finish

Try the Maybelline concealer too. I couldn't get it to work for me but I think a lot of people love it and rave about it, so give it a try!

Lingoflaming · 07/07/2022 02:10

I mix the maybelline glow primer, nars glow foundation with moisturiser to make my own cc cream. It's perfect for daytime and gives the right amount of glow. I finish with a few drops of maybelline Liquid creme blush & a sweep of bronzer.

Increase your water intake, reduce sugar and caffeine and you'll see a massive difference.

CauliWobble · 07/07/2022 07:17

Do you use moisturiser? Charlotte tilbury magic cream makes my skin look glowy - there is a revolution dupe I think.

Maybe a finishing powder? The hourglass ones are nice for luminosity but there is a beauty pie one that also is nice.
