Zara Sizing - which is a size 10?

Looking at dresses/tops at Zara. I’m a size 10. What size should I be ordering? I know the sizing is off there!

I've found XS = 8 S = 10

IvorCutler · 06/07/2022 13:23

Either a small or medium depending on the item! Use their calculator, I find it helpful.

I've found XS = 8 S = 10

Agree with this.

warofthemonstertrucks · 06/07/2022 13:42

I've been every size in Zara which is odd because everywhere else I'm pretty much a 12. Their sizing is absolutely mad in my experience. And their returns system is a nightmare. Which is a shame because I really like the styling.

SirVixofVixHall · 06/07/2022 13:47

I think their M is more like a 10 overall, but it does vary. I am a 10-12 and I’ve just had a delivery. Most of the size Ms are fine or slightly small. One size M pair of trousers is tiny, yet the one pair of trousers that I bought in a size L are much too big.

RandomQuest · 06/07/2022 13:56

No way of knowing really. I’m an 8 but have stuff from Zara in XS, S and M. As a 10 your best bets are probably S or M but there’s no guarantee because their sizing is so inconsistent.

Startuplife · 06/07/2022 13:58

I’d go medium. I’m an 8/10 and everything I’ve bought recently has been a medium. Except strapless tops where I’ve found the medium is much too generous in the bust.

Appleblum · 06/07/2022 14:04

Eh? How can a size 8 fit into XS at zara? I'm a uk8, sometimes 6, and I generally take M at Zara.

Bearsan · 06/07/2022 14:09

I'm 8/10 and always buy M.

My waist is a small 8 and I'm usually xs in Zara, but sometimes an s (I have one elasticated waist skirt size s) will be ok. A medium would be too big on the waist for me.

Tops and dresses I'm more likely to wear an 's' which I find to be approx size 10.

But agree with pp about inconsistencies in sizing.

newbiename · 06/07/2022 14:28

Depends on the style. I'm a 14 and I've got Zara clothes from a M to an XXL

ShandaLear · 07/07/2022 08:06

Sizing is a mystery in Zara. That’s part of its charm. You never know what size you’ll be - it’s thrilling 😁

Notarealmum · 07/07/2022 10:23

I consider myself a 10 and wear small or sometimes extra small. To be honest though, I’m not really sure what a 10 is these days.

rosiebl · 07/07/2022 10:39

I'm a 10 on the bottom (28 waist Levi's) and a 12 on top, because boobs.
In Zara I buy M tops and L or XL bottoms. It's a real delight in there. The sizing is rubbish.

RainbowCrayons · 07/07/2022 11:31

I'm an 8 (occasionally a 10) in other stores and today I bought shorts in a 12 and a top in an XS even though I'm top rather than bottom heavy. I think the sizes are so inconsistent. I can be anything from an XS to a L

warofthemonstertrucks · 07/07/2022 11:53

I saw some girl do a reel in is raw the other day-she was a 12 generally and tried on 7 different items in Zara and she took all sizes except XS variously in the different things

PragmaticWench · 07/07/2022 11:57

I think it also depends on the collection, there's a square, circle or triangle on the label showing three collections and the same size in each collection is different.

Trinny did a thing on it a few weeks ago. Circle is Zara Woman and more generous, triangle is Zara for teena

PragmaticWench · 07/07/2022 11:58

Sorry, triangle is for teenagers and cut smaller.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 07/07/2022 15:22

I saw a video that says a square is true to size and a triangle is running smaller something like that.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/07/2022 16:29

How do you work out on the website which is a triangle etc ?

IamTheSmall · 12/07/2022 16:33

There’s always a massive queue to return stuff in my local branch, I guess because it’s nigh on impossible to get the right size without trying everything on. I don’t know why they don’t sort it out, it’s so bizarre.

TheOGCCL · 12/07/2022 21:21

Partly depends on the fit you want. I tend to find S too small and I'm a 10 (28 inch waist).

Shopgirl1 · 12/07/2022 21:30

Im a 10 and can be either S or M in Zara, more often M, but I got a dress recently and even the S was too big. As others have said, it can be a bit unpredictable.

Notarealmum · 13/07/2022 06:57

I didn’t know that about squares, triangles etc, never noticed them. Interesting…

Shopgirl1 · 13/07/2022 11:08

You know on the website from the range it’s in TRF is going to be smaller fitting as it’s aimed at younger customers.
