Hi, I've started using tret through a Skin + Me introductory offer. No progress with the tret yet but I've read great things about it so will persevere.
I'm completely underwhelmed by the rest of the Skin + Me box though and much prefer my own products, so where can I get Tretinion? I'm aware it's presumption only, how do others manage? Can I use retinol as well or no? My pores are the size of craters.

I just chose the English option at the bottom of the page and it hasn't asked me to do a consultation. I just chose what I wanted and then clicked on basket. It just asked for my delivery details and payment.

Thanks @Petitebird. Did you have to email them to set up an online consultation? I'm getting a Spanish/Catalan message when I try to click through to purchase from your link which seems to be a request to email them (I'm not a Spanish speaker 🤷‍♀️).

Hello. I ordered using the link on 29 November and the package arrived yesterday via post. I don't have an account. Just clicked the link. There should be a translate button at the bottom of the page. I don't speak Spanish either.
I had no consultation. The link is for a pharmacy - not derm office. You could have a consult and then purchase the strength recommended. Private derm will cost couple of hundred pounds or try the other places that people are suggesting on here.

I follow Dr Dray and started on 0.025 some years ago. I then stopped using it as the tube ran out and I was seduced by the marketing of cosmeceutical companies. I have used retinols (Olay 24 and Boots 1%) which I use on face and neck. Both excellent.

Will now start with my .05 % Retirides very slowly and move up to 1%. Two tubes will last 18 months at least although I note the use by date on each tube ( they come in the manufacturer's boxes) is June 2024.

Send an email to the pharmacy ( in English- I did) and they will respond direct to you with the link. They are reliable as far as I can see and I would recommend them.

As MarshaMelrose said on 29/11. That's what happened when I used the link in my earlier post.

StoneWallandRoses · 05/01/2023 07:50

Hello - if anyone is still about could I get confirmation on tret strength please? I currently use tret from Dermatica at 0.1% strength. Using the link given above, which of their three choices of strength is closest to what I use now? I'm a bit funny with numbers and I'm getting confused.
Thanks all.

This link, I meant to post.

The first one, 1 mg. Go easy with it though, it’s strong stuff.

LuciferRising · 05/01/2023 08:26

Was going to start a thread on this. Been using it for 18 months and I don't think it is doing anything. Anyone else have no success ?

Lentilweaver · 05/01/2023 09:43

What strength are you using?

I am a massive Tret fan. This is my face after using for about 2 years now. I am 51 and had terrible menopausal acne before. Doesn't do anything for my jowls though!

O.025 I think.

MarshaMelrose · 05/01/2023 20:40

Go up to 0.05. Go slow and buffer if necessary.

Stoic123 · 05/01/2023 21:00

I just wanted to post a warning. I ordered 2 tubes from Farmacia Tristaina in Andorra at the end of October after advice here in S&B and it has been stuck in Royal Mail customs ever since.

The pharmacy has asked their Spanish carrier to investigate but, until it is returned to them, they will nor refund....so looks like goodbye to my money.

MarshaMelrose · 06/01/2023 00:01

Does the Pharmacy have a royal mail tracking number you could chase up? Don't get too disheartened. There is a massive backlog of deliveries so you could receive it yet.

I think it depends what you're expecting

Acne wise - mine has vanished
Ageing - I look the same. Which for me is great because it's 3 years on! So it's not reversing ageing but it's slowing/halted it, if that makes sense?

That does make sense. I have lots of age spots / melasma that isn't improving. Had the formal adjusted, but they can only do it for a set amount of time before I went back to the normal formula.

Do you use it on your neck? Mine is really showing age. Im 44.

Stoic123 · 06/01/2023 13:33

@MarshaMelrose - I tempted fate by posting that message... and the package arrived this morning. Better late than never.

You can cancel the other products and just get the skin and me in the metal tube. I’ve been using for 5 months now and really rate it - I don’t have acne but use it for anti- aging and general glow. My skin is honestly the best it’s ever been.

You can buy tret from online pharmacies as well but all I’d say is the doses are much higher than with subscription services like skin and me and will be much harder to get used to - skin and me gradually increase the dose over months and months to avoid side effects.

And as another poster said, you absolutely do need to use spf. But if you care about your skin you should be doing that anyway.

@ItMustBeBedtimeSurely
What sunscreen do you use? I have the watery canmake mermaid one.
