Black skirt / trousers

My husband's grandmother has just passed away.

The funeral is in a few weeks and today I tried on my 'black' to see what fitted. I've recently lost about 10kgs and gone from a size 14/16 to a 10/12.

The tops I have are ok but my beloved pencil skirt is too big 😭

I went into town today and it seems that knee length pencil skirts aren't in fashion any more.

So can anyone find a decent smart black pencil skirt / any skirt?

Needs to be knee length or below, to complicate matters I'm 6ft so ideally from a tall range or available in long lengths.

I'm considering trousers as well, would prefer a slim leg ankle length.

I don't want to spend a lot as I'm currently a SAHP so I don't have much use for smart clothes.

Can you get it altered? Should be easy to do.

I had thought about altering but it has a pocket across the front so not sure it would work.

I wish next still sold this type of skirt. The only tailored one they do at the moment is a mini which isn't appropriate

I logged on to John Lewis, and they have several plain black pencil skirts. They are a good staple to have in your closet.
