Recommend me a silk pillowcase that will last

I always sleep on a silk pillowcase. I buy them from Jasmine Silk (prices fairly reasonable) but find they don’t last even a year before they start to rip.

I do machine wash them but never tumble dry. I’m not going to hand wash, (if that’s what is suggested).

Has anyone found a robust make please that withstands machine washing?

I use Slip silk pillowcases, and their hair bands are fab too. Expensive but they are fab quality and last well. I also machine wash mine and never had an issue

No, they need hand washing.

They really need hand washing, mines a cheap one that's lasted forever, and the hand washing takes minutes to do in the hand basin, full double duvet set would be a different matter!

I had a John Lewis own brand one which lasted about two years before ripping. Think it was £40.

I've got some from debenhams years and years ago that are still in good condition. Don't know if that helps though as I think they went under?

This one:

LILYSILK 100 Pure Mulberry Silk Pillowcase Cover for Hair with Cotton Underside Charmeuse Hypoallergenic 1pc White Standard 50x75 cm 19 Momme 30-day Gurantee Bag Package amzn.eu/3HxCDbJ?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

One side is cotton, which lowers the price, and there's a zip to keep it from slipping off your pillow. I machine wash, just try to remember to use gentle cycle rather than 60-90C.

Thanks @applepineapple I’ll have a look at Slip
