I've got a lot of proper 90s fashion barely worn that i'm clearing out. Which resale sites are attracting the younger generations?

Vinted - I had a clear out recently, it was all going to go straight in the charity bag but DD reckoned she could sell them instead - tagged them 'vintage' and 'nineties'. I was astonished they all sold in a couple of days.

Depop

hatchyu · 01/07/2022 17:21

So not ebay then! 😆 thank you

Vinted is SO easy

Based on nothing more than how much bloody money I seem to accidentally spend when “just browsing”.. Vinted.

I have never danced the tango in my life. But 30€ for two pairs of BEAUTIFUL tango shoes was obviously an opportunity not to be missed.

I have no idea what is happening to me. I’m a tightwad. I’ll sit with things in my amazon basket for weeks mulling over how much I want it, need it and how many minutes/hours of work (and therefore units of my LIFE !) it’ll cost me. But I’m like a cat around catnip with that bloody app.

I think there's a maximum limit of 5 hashtags. It's not a must.

Yes to this. So easy, little room for time wasters.

I've sold half of my old wardrobe on it and bought myself some nice new threads on there too.

And now all DCs clothes are from there too. Haven't had a bad experience at all

Vinted is better for selling as you don't pay any fees (the buyer does). Although sometimes you have to price things a little lower to account for that but I find it best overall.

Same here! Love vinted!

super easy to use compared to ebay and bought all my kids summer clothes there. Beautiful items from Boden, Jojo etc for a fraction of the price.
sold all my maternity clothes on there too.

Irishstout · 02/07/2022 07:19

Love Vinted.

Super easy to add and sell. Sold loads of stuff and made a decent amount of cash! If you want to sell stuff quickly then you need to be realistic about how much it'll sell for though.

Thanks all, will try Vinted this weekend.

I’ve had bad experiences as a seller on Vinted. It’s full of teenagers who want price reductions, then complain, then want a refund and leave bad feedback anyway. It’s happened several times recentjy.

I’ve sold successfully on eBay for 20 years with 100% positive feedback, I’m pretty sure it’s not my descriptions.

Maisiecow · 02/07/2022 09:44

As a buyer I am now very wary of using Vinted since a seller failed to send an item I’d purchased. Vinted automatically started a refund process but never processed it. When I contacted them they just said ‘there was an issue with the service provider’ and then marked it as ‘resolved’ making it impossible to follow up on their messaging system!
