How do I style this dress?! Help!

So I bought this dress in the winter sale but haven't worn it yet

I assumed I'd wear it will tights/leggings and pumps but I have seen on the other thread that leggings are out!

Bare legs isn't going to work for me, legs look undead. And I would get cold!

I'm mid 40s, slim-ish but not really slim.

Help!

Just wear tights? Black tights and any flat shoes/trainers/ankle boots would look great.

I would do tights and ankle boots. Leggings would be fine though if that's what you want to wear
