I'm off to Tenerife in a couple of weeks and haven't been abroad for a very long time. I'm going for a week and have no idea what to wear.

Daytime will be by the pool and a bit of sight setting/local market if there's one and evening will be spent at the hotel.

It's my first time abroad as a single parent with my teenage son.

So what do I need?
Im size 14, short and curvy. I've no idea where to start. I have a casual style

I would go with
3 bikinis

4 day dresses
5 to 7 evening dresses
2 pairs of sandals

Have you any links? I've got dresses but not sure they're suitable for holidays abroad. What do you wear to go to the beach in? Sorry I'm clueless

I tend to just wear my bikini and a cover up all day unless we're going for a walk. I try to bring no more than say a few outfits for the evening if you're going for a week. You'll only be wearing them for a few hours at a time so can wear them at least twice without washing. I also pack a lightweight dress that can be worn during the day or evening. I always pack a long sleeved top or jacket but I never need it! If you want to take jeans or long trousers wear them to the airport and home again incase it's a bit chilly. You won't need them on holiday though! Just tops, skirts or shorts that can be mixed and matched

I wear a strapless dress to go for breakfast over a bikini which can easily be pulled off for sunbathing. A sarong for popping to the bar
Some nice dresses or play suits for the evening. Nothing fancy just light cotton ones. Sparkly flip flops for the night normal ones for the day.
A pair or shorts and vest for going off resort
A denim jacket just in case.

I would travel in some wide/loose trousers, top and denim jacket. Then I'd pack 3 light dresses that would be fine for the day or night if dressed up with different shoes, a pair of shorts and a long baggy shirt thingy and some sort of sarong. One nice dress for a 'nice' dinner one night. Plus swimwear, an extra top to wear with the long trousers or shorts and maybe a cardigan just in case. I think H&M is good for holiday basics that can be dressed up/down and not too expensive either. I always overpack and end up wearing 50% of what I bring so don't make my mistake!!! And bring a hat/sunglasses

There is a lovely beach dress on M&S in white or green that might suit you. It is pure cotton and a lovely fit.

H&M have got a sale on at the moment for their holiday shop stuff. There's loads on there.

Which part of Tenerife are you going to?

For a week I take two bikinis, 2 swim suits, 3 pairs denim shorts, vest tops .maxi dresses, birkenstocks, pair of wedges.

I usually wear dresses and wedges of an evening and shorts/vest/swimmers during the day

Plus hat, sunglasses and spf. I dont take any makeup but take usual skincare.

Linen shorts with oversized linen/linen mix shirts. Great for day and beach. H&M is a good call. New look have quite a few jumpsuit/playsuits. Good for evening. Big straw bag for beach. Raffia type crossbody for day/evening. No heels at all. Have a lovely holiday.
