Ugly…..ugly….double ugly. Please help!

CLOTHES. Dresses in particular. I’m trying to find a dress to wear to a wedding. I haven’t done much dress shopping in a while, and oh my days they are all so UGLY. Even the beautiful models look awful in them.

The brief seems to be ‘things my Barbie wore in 1992.’ Big sleeves, tiers, everything baggy, shiny material, 80s chintz, and weird, weird shapes.

I’ve tried all the shops I can think of and I’d really appreciate some help please.

I’m 5’2, size 8-10. I don’t like my arms but waist and legs ok. Prefer on/above the knee. Nothing too booby.

I don’t have a particular style, very eclectic but I like lace and a swingy skirt. I’ll try anything though.

Nothing shapeless, nothing strapless, nothing that looks like curtains tied on (which rules out half of what’s out there!).

Have you tried looking at people like Julien McDonald online or even JD Williams?

Oasis have some lovely dresses in that might fit the brief. They also seem to do a maxi and knee length/mini version of the same dress.

I ordered two beautiful dresses from Oasis.
They took the money within minutes but now claim I never ordered and they have no record of it (despite me having an order number and being £300 lighter!).
So oasis can go sodomise themselves.
