What have they done?!

I have tried buying three items today using my phone, iPad and laptop. Their new website is unbelievably full of bugs and errors.

Anyone else having similar?

Basket not updating
Losing all items when trying to check out
Web page taking ages to load due to endless recommendations
Random error messages when trying to search

I did contact them (not using the website as the contact form errored!) and got a standard "clear your cookies/cache" reply. Which hasn't worked because it's clearly the website.

I want to shop with them to get my points but on the verge of giving up.

Anyone else?

I’ve found that their stock control is also rubbish. Accepted orders and then a message says later that it’s out of stock. Really poor service.
I did manage to order though!

Agree it’s terrible - sadly the previous one was terrible too and the new one is as bad if not worse. Really disappointing

I have always found their website terrible. I only order from them because they sell The Ordinary and I can collect from the local store I can walk to from home for free.

Me too - wanted to use my points but had to give up. Ordered from Superdrug instead, no problem there.

Its been shite on app and web for years. Favourites page never loads, search doesn't work. Waste of time. The user interface and experience team must be drunk everyday.

It is unbelievably shit. The people building it and running it should be ashamed of themselves. I would get an entirely new website built and switch that one off.

I posted about it the other day. It kept emptying my basket and then when I finally managed to get it all back and pay it changed my delivery address from my house to store pick up 🤦🏻‍♀️. I contacted them immediately and they said it couldn’t be changed. Absolutely ridiculous, as if I’d wanted to go to the store I could have just gone to the store and brought the stuff rather than wait three days. And our local store is understaffed, only one till at the pharmacy so ridiculous queues.

It is truly awful and three of my orders have arrived open (although nothing was missing.) Don’t really want the world seeing what I buy from Boots though.

I finally managed to place the order - got DP to do it as I'd run out of patience! Took him 20 minutes just to edit the basket and pay.

What is most frustrating is they must know that there are problems, but instead of acknowledging that and listening to their customers, they just churn out the same copy and paste help responses (can you even clear the cache on a phone!?). I've never known customer service be so consistently poor across so many companies. They know they can get away with it now, and just don't give a shit.

It's absolutely shocking how a business as large as Boots can have a website so bad. It always makes me think they are on the brink of financial collapse, not to make an effort to improve it!

Eventually I was told to order as a guest then contact to redeem my points & be refunded the discount one two products applicable to advantage card holders. Surely this extra work & constant complaints would make them seek a better website!

It's almost impressive quite how shit it is. Buggy, loads out of stock, decides it just won't let you order every now and then. Like @LadyBird1973, I keep assuming they aren't long for this world, so try to spend my points regularly, rather than saving them up like I used to.

I had this wierd thing at Xmas where I filled my basket (it took aaaaages) then when I went to checkout it had all disappeared. It was a whole bunch of xmas gifts. I think I cried.
The next day I filled the basket again but made a few changes to the original basket as I couldn't find some stuff and changed my mind about others. This time it worked.
However.
When it arrived, the order was the first basket, not the second!
