I've done this. It will be shockingly hot. Prepare to stand and swelter and sweat. Something as formal as you can make it while still being floaty and light - cotton? viscose? - v dressed up with accessories.

Dancing Leopard have nice dresses in that price range. I'm similar to you and wore one on their dresses to a Spanish summer wedding last year
