(mostly) one sided hair loss-anyone else

I have over a few years lost more that half my hair. Falls out in fits and starts-never really recovers. It’s WAY more prominent on the right side of my head and this is now noticeable to others. I’ve lost my nape of neck hairline-one side, hair behind right ear and now thinning at crown (which is right anyway). Going to the GP but anyone else experienced this lopsidedness? Impossible to style 😞

I could have written your message. I have suddenly got a bald patch on one side of my head and one side notably thinning with the other so far, seeming normal. From what I have read it could potentially be to do with Covid - I have a fairly short case back in March - but other than that I am not sure what has caused it. I went to the doctors, they ran bloods but everything came back normal and I was told there is nothing they can do. I have now booked a private dermatologist appointment to see if they can help. It’s very soul destroying.

I feel your pain! The side that I sleep on is finer than the other side, I assume it gets rubbed.
I’ve recently started taking collagen tablets and after 2 months there’s definitely a difference. They’re AHS brand from Superdrug.

I had covid in March too….

will look into the collagen tablets-thanks. I used to take powder but the taste was a bit grim.
