Cool clothes for very small daughter

DD is 10 but wears 7-8 clothes so is stuck in the “baby” section in most shops. She prefers black clothes over any other colour but will wear grey/white/denim blue. She will wear a bit of colour if the style is right but she’s pretty fussy. Are there any reasonably priced brands that have cool clothes for smallish girls. She does look in the boys section occasionally but doesn’t want tops with dinosaurs or gaming stuff on.

My DD is similar, we've had some luck with Shein (which surprised me!) I just let her trawl through to find things she likes and then we were careful with measurements. H&M the same, lots on their website but takes a lot of filtering.

Zara. Look on the website rather than just in store.

I have a stylish petite daughter too & Zara does extremely well for her without being £££

If she wants black clothes, then boys are definitely the way to go!

FWIW, I've managed to avoid gaming and dinosaur clothes for a few years now for my boys. If you shop online, there is actually lots of boys clothes choice out there TBH.

Shein is amazing for girls clothes, my youngest is in 7-8 and we’ve got her some lovely things off there.

TickledOnion · 28/06/2022 15:39

I forgot about shein. I have got her stuff from their in the past that she likes but we were out shopping and could hardly find anything in the shops.

My DD is 15 and fits age 8-9 clothes so we're very familiar with this problem! She likes H & M (they do an XXS in the Divided range), Zara kids, and is just starting to fit into some of the smaller stuff at Brandy Melville (where the sizing is very odd).

H&M and Zara

Shein are so so terrible for the environment though 😩 please don't give them your business

MissDollyMix · 28/06/2022 17:40

Mango have some nice things for this age range.

IvorCutler · 28/06/2022 18:09

Molo has some cool things.

Actually I’ve just had a look and it’s less cool than I remember 😂 what about H&M?

chesterelly1 · 28/06/2022 21:35

Pull & Bear would be worth a look

@rosesarepinkvioletsarepurple agree and what about the people that make those clothes?

ShandaLear · 29/06/2022 15:53

New Look used to have a 9-15 range though I haven’t been in for a few years so don’t know if it’s still there. River Island also did a teen range. My tiny DD loved the H&M jeans. Hollister and Jack Wills do the odd xxs sized tops and jumpers - these may still be a bit big but should fit in a year ow two, and Hollister does jeans from about a 24” waist.

Mushroo · 29/06/2022 15:56

zara, new look, H and M.

Reiss if you have £££

Mercurial123 · 29/06/2022 17:25

COS resell is worth a look.
