Nice summer bag for a city break

I’m off to Paris this summer and would like a cross body bag that looks summery and isn’t to heavy. I have a few at home but they’ve not all got zips or are to heavy to carry all day. I was thinking of a long champ le pliage bag as they seem nice and light but not all come with a shoulder strap. I also would rather not have a rucksack as there so easy for pickpockets to get into.

Le Pliage come in leather with shoulder straps and can be worn crossbody. They fold down well too.

Feiler bags are really light, but they are not for everyone. MIL loves them a lot though!

Forgot to say I wanted to also be able to use it as a hand bag without the cross body part too

What about the cross body bags that you can change the straps on? Buy one neutral bag and a few straps in your favourite colour ways. You can get stripes, plain, leopard, etc.

I’d like the LV speedy 25 with the cross body strap in the light checked canvas… but I’m pretty sure it’s not super lightweight… looks amazing though!

I have one of my nans lvs and a few expensive bags of my own but I wanted something not so expensive for traveling and days out one that I wouldn’t mind suncream and water being thrown into

It holds everything I need for a day out - phone, small wallet, folded up shopper bag (all be it not water bottle), works ok for a bit dressier, and the two pockets help keep things separate.

I was going to suggest Kipling too, perfect for travelling.

Have you looked at polene? Really nice under stated designs, REALLY well made. The quality is exceptional for the price imo

@Jellybeans52 go with black or tan as they will go with everything. I'd probably get black

I’ve gone for red decided I have to many brown and black bags and I’m always wearing black white or navy so red will always go. Thank you so much for your help.
