Comfortable Bra

I hate wearing bras - I find them so uncomfortable. It probably doesn't help that I didn't really wear them until I was in my thirties, after having a massive baby with the subsequent growth in breast size. Before that I could get away with not needing one. I now have the sagging that comes with age and the boost of a bra helps to balance me out style-wise. The only benefit of covid and lock-downs for me was that I could completely do away with the bras again, as I wasn't bothered about being a middle-aged women not wearing a bra when I was only visiting parks, etc.

Is there such a thing as a bra that is completely comfortable? It's that thing about having restriction around your rib-cage that I hate, and that includes sports-type bras, bralettes, etc. What I have been doing, so as not to frighten the horses (or anyone who thinks middle-aged women should not show they have breasts), is wearing bras over camisoles, rather than under; something I'd never have thought of a couple of years ago. However now we're in the summer thinner tops will maybe make this obvious.

Hi, I am a large cup size and need support but I also don’t like the feeling of too much restriction around the rib cage (and can make back painful too). I found these bralettes at M&S and they are so comfy! Sorry I know you said no to bralettes, but I thought I would share as found these v soft and comfy on the back/ not restrictive feeling but still supportive for everyday. www.marksandspencer.com/3pk-seamless-non-wired-bralettes/p/clp60500235?color=SOFTPINK

Thanks Mumtumtastic, I did actually buy these on my last trip into town and am taking them with me to Paris. Not worn them yet, but hopeful that you've said they're comfortable 😊.

Yes! Go for non wired. So much choice now it's amazing.
