I went to M&S today to see if I could find a nice midi summer dress. I'm sorry but it was just frump galore. They could and should do so much better. It wouldn't take that much to add a little style to their lines, no?

No sleeves but it looks classy from Zara! Could wear a blazer?

Back in May I bought a midi dress, slightly puffed short sleeve and v neck. From Primark so no idea if it’s still there.

Oliver Bonas have nice summer dresses in black with long sleeves however I think they’re mini not midi length.

Rina the Manamou dress arrived and I love it! But a little flesh flashing - can I get away with black underwear? Big pants I think as I’m the wrong side of 50!

Glad you love it - I wear a long black or nude vest under mine, but you could definitely wear black cycling shorts and a plain black bra, be brave, especially as you wanted it for evening wear!

If worried about it being a bit see through, Next do a pair of pure cotton slips, one black, one white which are great. Can use under thin fabric kaftan/ dress on holiday to turn beach wear into suitable for evening and can also double up as nighties.
