I'm pregnant and no longer able to reach where I need to so I'm outsourcing my needs!

Never had one done before - what can I expect??

Just bikini line tidy up? Not too bad at all as it’s a small area. If you get a good waxer they’ll manage the whole lot on one side at once by covering the whole lot with wax then quickly doing a few quick pulls.

The smearing on of the wax is the uncomfortable bit IMO. The whipping off only stings for a second. Its when you’re having huge areas like full leg and bikini done that it gets a bit much.

Just remind yourself “this too shall pass”. It can be painful for a couple of seconds but then it’s not.

I'm having a Brazilian 😱

Lycon wax is one of the better types of wax to cause minimal pain as they use the wax itself to pull the hair out rather than strips. If you have a choice of wax, go for that or similar. Being pregnant, you are more sensitive down there so bear that in mind. Hopefully you have an experienced person doing it as it shouldn't hurt too much. Good luck.

I have a Hollywood every 6 week. Paracetamol half an hour before you go usually helps. Iv had it for 4 years now and even the day before my last daughter was born. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and still going although I won't lie it does hurt more when pregnant.

Hurstlandshome · 26/06/2022 16:42

Are you sure you need this level of pain right now? Admittedly I am a total wuss but it's so, so painful. Just awful... but does deliver the best results.
I'd slap some hair removal cream on... but that's just me.

PiuPiusHat · 26/06/2022 16:43

Take paracetamol before you go? Do you normally have a Brazilian or is this prep for the birth?

monsterastuckiosa · 26/06/2022 16:52

The shorter the hair, the less it pulls, so (to whatever extent you can manage right now), give it a trim first. Quarter of an inch is about perfect.

Ishacoco · 26/06/2022 23:49

Thanks everyone! I'm prepared for it to be painful - but hopefully not too much or for too long!! I will take paracetamol.

I was wondering about hair length actually. I'll try and have a trim first Blush

No, not birth prep, just general maintenance down there 😊

You should cut them a bit before the waxing, it won't hurt as much, or ask the them to do it for you before strting. Still, are you sure about this...? Make sure you go to a good place and they don't reuse wax.

It's been on my mind for a couple of years but shaving always seemed easier. I already have lash extensions and lip filler (not during pregnancy 😞). Essentially I like to look good but I'm extremely lazy about it!

Well that was horrific! And I forgot the paracetamol tip :(
All done though and hopefully not as bad next time 🤞🤞

You’ll know what to expect next time so it won’t hurt as much. And it’s only momentary pain.
