Flattering shorts- is there such a thing?

I’m a tall 12/14 carrying a bit of weight/cellulite on my thighs. I hate wearing shorts. Does anyone know of any lovely flattering ones?

I'm on the hunt too I had a thread about wanting on the knee length shorts as I had found some lovely ones whilst travelling. Beautiful soft cotton.

The only ones I can find here are the chino style knee length ones which are too thick and structured. Linen ones make me feel too boat club when I'm more surf/street style.

I've ended up with men's shorts from Matalan. The shorts posted would be too short for me, I'm after shorts which reach my knees.

They're v light fabric and floaty

It's weird they feel tight as you put them on but they're loose once they're up, and I have largish thighs

Would suggest possibly sizing down as they're quite generous. Maybe shorter than you're looking for, but very flattering and comfortable.

I'm probably a similar height and size to you, from your description. I find that slightly shorter than mid thigh, high waist and wide at the bottom, with a turn up if possible are the most flattering on me. Searching for mom shorts seems to bring up some good options. I've had some good ones from M&S, boden and j crew but I only buy second hand so I can't recommend anything from this season.
