My wonderful father-in-law died last night so I'm looking for a dress for a funeral.

I've looked but it's all a bit overwhelming. I'm 5' 7 with a large bust and belly.

I am sorry for your loss. I had a funeral earlier this month, but in the end wore an existing black crepe dress. I have two suggestions. Given your budget it may be worth borrowing a dress, e.g. Frankie dress from L K Bennett Borrowed. Alternatively, order a few dresses from John Lewis. You can filter by colour, dress length, sleeve length as well as size and then sort, e.g. by level of discount. Delivery next day to local Waitrose and then try them on and free returns.

I went with existing black trousers in the end. And a new black top. Both wearable again.
