Inspired by the other thread, things that don't work - what do you look good in/ can rely on?

Because I identify with SO much of the other thread, so I'm hoping I identify with things on this thread, and can then go buy them!

Things that DO work for me (in my opinion)

Midi dresses (I really will be lost when this trend goes away)
Cigarette style/ length trousers
High heels
Wedges
Bardot neckline (albeit this is passé now)

Carolina Herrera coats and jackets - you can look like crap but these will take you to the next level no matter what
Coats that have a slightly fitted waist
Mary Janes
Dark/Bootcut jeans
Colourful sandals - I'm a sucker for girly orange sandals!
Geox sneakers
Wedges
Wrap dresses
Bikinis with a high waist - very 60s type of thing
shirt dresses
colourful earrings - well, earrings of all sorts but colourful for summer
big rings
filigree earrings
Bodycon wool dresses
Colour-block shirts and tunics for summer -neon orange/pink, bright blue...!
Big sunglasses
Hats - wool fedoras for winter and large straw ones for summer
Boat and Bardot (didn't know these were out!) necklines
Trenchcoats
Pink eyeshadow// Aubergine eyeliner // lipstick// Perfume
-Honorary mention to:
glycolic acid - sb mentioned it on another thread and now I can look nice (or not) without stinking!
wonder bras - I no longer have big boobs but these were bloody awesome then
Heels - I hurt my foot so I avoid them but they'll always be pretty to look at!

Boot cut jeans
Tops with crew necks
Dark colours on my bottom half, lighter colours/patterns on my top half
Dresses with a nipped in waist/fit and flare type shape
Bright colours like red and blue
Grey and navy instead of black
Knee length skirts/dresses
Tucking tops in (although I do think this still doesn't work with jeans!)
I was also pleasantly surprised to find some gorgeous maxi dresses that suit me so well a few years ago - I'd always avoided them being short. Unfortunately they're from Dorothy Perkins petite 😕

Forgot to add: red dresses and tops. I was very much against wearing red but it perks me up in a surprising way. I'm a huge fan during summer!

I’m a petite gamine, inverted triangle shape. Winter.

Keeping clothes fitted with perhaps just one slightly oversized or slouchy element stops me from looking swamped.

Small, soft prints like floral or animal
Black on black in different textures to stop it looking boring
Jewel tones
Silk has been a game changer for summer

Jeans (straight, flare)
Bias cut or a-line skirts and dresses
Scoop necks or boat necks
Shirts and blazers
Shift dresses

Peach blusher is so flattering on my pale skin (even the palest pink and I look like a clown)
