Mia Tui or Something Else?

Desperately need a crossbody bag for travelling, I've seen Mia Tui come up a lot, are they good for travel or should I be looking at something else?

Anyone??

I have a medium sized Mia Tui Cross body bag and I like it - it is practical and stylish. It doesn't have a zip across the top so it might not be that secure if you are travelling. You could try a Fiorelli cross body bag as an alternative but some of them are quite small.

Helpinghand77 · 24/06/2022 07:32

Apologies - I've just looked at my MT bag and it DOES have a zip across the top!! So, yes quite sensible for travelling!

LightOfAThousandStars · 24/06/2022 12:17

Thank you @Helpinghand77 , it's good to hear from someone who actually has their bags. I will try one as well

I have a big MT bag. Jennie I think. Not what you are looking at but I find the quality good. I actually prefer the bag to my previously owned Le Pliage.

Purpleavocado · 24/06/2022 13:09

Mia Tui is nice for faux leather. I prefer my kipling bags for travel as they are more lightweight, buy I'd say the Mia Tui Re a bit more stylish

I’ve just bought the Mia tui Jenny and got the free travel bundle . I love it , very good quality , lots of compartments and zips .

Helpinghand77 · 24/06/2022 13:42

OP - forgot to add that I have the MT "Clara" cross body bag in Aubergine.

LightOfAThousandStars · 24/06/2022 14:16

Thanks everyone, those that have the Jenny don't find it too big? I think I might just go for the bigger bag if they are lightweight.

I recently used my Jenni bag on a trip to London, using the tube etc and didn’t find it too big or cumbersome. Just felt more organised , I had a small suitcase with me aswell, so it wasn’t over stuffed. I like the extras like internal key clip and clutch bag . My sister saw it and ordered one the same day 😂

LightOfAThousandStars · 24/06/2022 19:17

Ah thank you @TimeTarroganStrife that sounds great! Do you have the full size Jenny or the Mini Jenny?

Mia Tui bags are great, and their customer service is excellent

TimeTarroganStrife · 24/06/2022 21:33

Full size Jenni. The advert ?says if you’re 5’5’’ or shorter the mini might be a better size but I’m 5’5’’ and it’s fine .

heartprob · 25/06/2022 14:56

I love the Mia tui bags.
My favourite was the Sofia, which they've stopped doing for now, or the backpacks which are fabulous.

Ihaveamagicwand · 25/06/2022 15:04

I have a large Mia Tui. Excellent quality and loads of extra features on it including the little bags inside. I used it for traveling and found it great for the flight but it was far too heavy to use in the hot climate where we were staying.

More expensive but it’s the Kipling range for me I’m afraid just on functionality and weight.

travailtotravel · 25/06/2022 15:09

I have several mia tui - jenny, backpack, smaller cross body. Also rate the Roka paddington - its round. But more lightweight/ kiplingy. Brilliant colours.

IncessantNameChanger · 25/06/2022 15:10

I have the Jenny and mini jen. Both great for travelling as a cabin type bag. I'd not want to use the bigger one as a general cross body bag unless I was doing a long day out with kids. Its quite big. I love how they fit over cabin case handles

bizzey · 25/06/2022 17:19

So glad I spotted this thread when it was on active.

I have been looking at the Mia tu bags for ages.(keep getting the adverts )

I am 5foot so was thinking the Jennie mini as I would like to use it as a handbag after my travels.

But....will the Jennie (the full size one ) still be classed as handbag size for flights ?

bizzey · 25/06/2022 17:20

Are the colours almost correct to the photos ?

heartprob · 25/06/2022 18:53

I'm pretty sure Mia tui have done videos to show that all bags fit into the hand luggage dimensions for different airlines.

Not sure what the size limits are for handbags/personal items though.

The colours are pretty accurate on the website.

bizzey · 25/06/2022 19:33

Thanks .
I will check out the videos and get my tape measure out to judge sizes.

Now that I know my passport is being printed.i feel I can start planning for this little trip.

bizzey · 25/06/2022 19:34

Just need to see if all the codes work !

bizzey · 25/06/2022 19:35

And check delivery times.

Sallylovesdaisy · 25/06/2022 19:39

I love all my Mia Tuis. I have a cross body and the big travel bag, but my favourite is my smallish backpack, love it, great for travelling

IncessantNameChanger · 25/06/2022 20:19

I’m constantly looking on Vinted for backpacks and have bought three now for under £20
