Help me find these clothes!

I recently watched God's Favourite Idiot on netflix and Melissa McCarthy's wardrobe just blew me away. I could totally see myself wearing those styles of clothes - like a His Girl Friday style for a plumper lady. I definitely don't see clothes like these in the shops. Any ideas where I should be looking?

Couldn't find many good pics but I love this red polka blouse - the shoulders are awesome, and her shirt and braces combo. There are some other good looks too. Just sort of well-structured, slightly masculine, newspaper reporter type vibes.

Very Diane Keatonesque! I think you could easily achieve that look if you mix some menswear in (braces and ties for example). I’d try COS or even H&M for high waisted trousers and & other stories for blouses.

Look for vintage 1980s clothes for structured shoulders.

I think the 80s shoulders are more shoulder-padded, so different shape than this? (I was an eighties teenager, but it was a while ago!) But that's a good call, thanks! Vintage shops may have some relevant stuff.

You are right. 1970s. The Diane Keaton Annie Hall film was 1977.

Cool, thank you. I was dreaming of 40s style - Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday... her clothes in that film were sooooo beautiful.

There are a couple of vintage shops near me, so I shall go and have a browse!
