I am going mad trying to find a dress for a wedding; it’s not entirely formal so not full on wedding style, but I’d like to be reasonably neat.
I’m about a stone heavier than I’d want to be and it’s all on my stomach and boobs. I will look pregnant in anything smocky or with a high waist. I have good legs and a nice tan so above the knee is good, but I prefer short sleeves to strappy.
Colour-wise I can’t wear red, yellow, orange, brown or dark shades of purple or green. I look good in white, cream, pale blue/pink/nude sort of shades or navy at a pinch. Plain or patterned are good but I prefer placement prints or stylised/regular patterns rather than ikat-type or painted ones.
Can anyone help me please? It’s been ages since I’ve bought a dress and I can’t find anything for a forty-something newly barrel shaped person!
