Are fascinators totally dated now? Is anything else in, or better to go bareheaded? I don't suit fat Alice bands!

Following as I'm going to a wedding and want to know. The wedding is outside so really not sure

Weird, I noticed that obvious lack of fascinators at the last wedding I was at. It’s a bit of a shame they seem to have vanished. I think mother of the bride etc and maybe older guests still wear a hat or fascinator but I wore a pearl headband instead at the last two so I was also part of the problem 😂

I have one that is sort of part hat, part feather which I love, but don't want to look hideously dated. Bride is 50 and second wedding if it makes a difference 🤷🏼‍♀️

Went to a wedding recently and I don't think a single person was wearing a hat, headband or a fascinator. Apart from certain headbands, they are pretty dated, a bit 2010's really.

I’ve been to a lot of weddings this year (thanks covid for all the postponements) and no one except the MOB was wearing any sort of headgear at any of time. Several have been outdoors including the one last weekend which was a 30 degree scorcher and a few chaps with very little hair cracked out some hats but still nothing from the ladies.

Thanks everyone, guess it's relegated to the back of the wardrobe then!

Just to come back to this - I didn't make it to the wedding as I got Covid 🙄 but from the pics, nearly every woman is wearing either a hat or a fascinator. So clearly they're not over up North 😊
