Toms, Saltwaters or something else?

I'm in the market for a pair of brown leather sandals for the summer. I had a quick look in Schuh this morning and really liked these Toms:

But would I be better with these Saltwater ones:

As then they can get wet? Though I'm less keen on the styling...

Or is there some other brand I should be considering?

Help?

I think you and I have similar tastes in tan leather sandals! I've looked at the Sicily before but not in person.

I have some FitFlop Barra in brown (Cognac I think) and whilst they're very comfy, they're not quite what I was after.

I think the Saltwaters are an acquired taste (personally I like the look of them) and friends who have them say they're comfy.

Clarks often has good, slightly "old-school" tan sandals - have you looked there?

I wasn't impressed with anything in the Clarks store yesterday.. I've ordered these though after seeing Moshulu suggested in another thread...

Arriving tomorrow, hopefully they are good otherwise I'll order the Toms

Saltwaters are flat as a pancake so they ache after a while. People who say they are 'really comfy' are those who typically wear heels all the time.

I have the Toms ones and they are really comfortable. I’ve worn them all day a couple of times (including when travelling) and they haven’t rubbed at all or made my feet ache.
