Your comfiest sandals/flip flops?

I need new flat sandals for summer. My old faithfuls have given up the ghost and I can't even remember where I got them from. So I need some new ones.

I'd like something that can go with jeans or dresses but they must be comfy! I'm going to London with my Mum in a couple of weeks, ideally I need to get something this week so I can wear them in a bit before we go!

Budget of around £50 ish. Can anyone recommend some because I don't even know where to start!

Most M&S leather sandals are great if you want something smarter.
For flip flops I like Sanku, made from recycled yoga mats, super squishy and comfortable, can walk in them but wouldn't go too far in any flip flop as I personally don't think they're built for long distances

NashvilleQueen · 21/06/2022 11:45

I prefer Iapnema flip flops to Havianas. Just a personal preference.

Rollerbird · 21/06/2022 11:49

Can someone who loves the crocs flip flops and has wideish feet link to the ones they love?
There seems a lot of different ones!

EmbroidedFlowers · 21/06/2022 11:49

My Teva's are soo comfy. Wore them everyday on holiday

EmbroidedFlowers · 21/06/2022 11:50

Accidentally pressed post too soon.
I wore them everyday on holiday and we did a lot of walking. They were worth every penny 🙂

RockinHorseShit · 21/06/2022 12:05

@Rollerbird

My feet can swell & I have these in black & white & find they are soft & just mould to my feet even if very swollen. I've had a few pairs of the basic crocs flip flops & found the same with them too

RockinHorseShit · 21/06/2022 12:06

Urgh 🥴 these, they're currently on sale at half price on Amazon, but can't link ...

I agree with Moshulu. Have very wide feet and a high instep and find them very comfy. The website has suggestions about which styles are better for wide or narrow feet etc.

And they have a sale on!

noodlezoodle · 21/06/2022 12:23

I have several pairs of Arizona soft footbed Birks and they are incredibly comfy. I don't find they need much breaking in for the soles, but the straps rub the top of my feet a bit when they're new - when I can be bothered I use moleskin on those patches and it works really well.

Are Birkenstocks good for plantar fasciitis, does anyone know?

They help for me. I can walk for miles in them.

bigcheesematrix · 21/06/2022 12:32

Another vote for Moshulu. So comfortable and they prevent my plantar fasciitis pain too.

schmalex · 21/06/2022 12:35

Sam Edelman Gigi are my go-to. Super comfy and also elegant if you need to wear something flat in the evening.

princessbear80 · 21/06/2022 12:55

Another vote for Tevas. I love mine. I have the midform universal ones. Very easy to adjust if my feet swell on a very hot day. Very supportive and can walk for miles. As comfortable as trainers, but nice and airy!

They really help mine.

But it maybe is a case of trial and error to see how they feel.

I found they made mine PF worse & seemed to cause it for DD when I passed them onto her. We've found crocks have better arch support & are much lighter, which we find helps PF

Jmaho · 21/06/2022 15:29

Fitflops are nice but I find them very narrow and my feet are quite narrow anyway

Notarealmum · 21/06/2022 15:32

Anyone here with bunions who could tell me how Tevas feel - do the straps rub?

Chewbecca · 21/06/2022 15:33

I find Birkenstocks hard and uncomfortable.

I can walk for miles in my Josef Siebel Tonga sandals & would definitely recommend for troubled feet.

Moonface123 · 21/06/2022 15:35

l got some nice Sketcher sandals last year, and Pavers sandals are comfortable too, think they have a sale on currently.

Caminante · 21/06/2022 15:39

These which I have in black but the red look lovely.

Light as a feather, don't know you're wearing them, supportive.

Don't tell anyone but I wear them around the house in winter with thick socks 🤭

Caminante · 21/06/2022 15:41

Birkenstocks Arizona Eva, that should say

another vote for blowfish, office have some styles reduced at the moment.
I’ve been thinking about some Birkenstocks I have small narrow feet ( 35/35.5) not sure of sizing/widths anyone know what the sizing is like please?

Cas112 · 21/06/2022 15:49

Crocs

LividLaVidaLoca · 21/06/2022 15:56

I’ve just bought some Saltwater Swimmers, with a more pliable sole.

Haven’t worn them further than the garden yet but they feel super soft and supportive.

(Tried to take a picture but my legs are hairy and nails not done, so you’ll just have to imagine they look glamorous)

TitInATrance · 21/06/2022 16:02

Bought these recently www.millets.co.uk/16000760/peter-storm-women-s-lynmouth-sandal-16000760
Comfortable and go with anything. I have wide feet, a huge bunion and these are great - adjustable strap! Also, cheap :)
