Dress for the short and fat!

I’m 5”3 and a size 16-18 and find it a nightmare trying to find a dress that flatters. I am bottom heavy, smaller waist, medium chest.

Has anyone seen any summery dresses that would be suitable for a christening please? I am mid 30s if that makes any difference. Thank you!

I've bought linen rich shift dresses from sainsburys. They've got several colours and you could dress them up or down as you like. I'm feeling quite dumpy at the moment having put on weight, but these dresses seem to flatter and I feel good wearing them.
