Losing weight and need a ‘reward’ trench

That’s it really. Currently a size 16, aiming to lose two dress sizes by September (I work in a school and like starting the new year with some new bits!) I want a nice trench coat, needs to be petite as I’m 5ft nothing, so even shorter coats have sleeves that are too long. Been hankering after a hobbs for a while but am open to other suggestions…..

the Saskia trench from Hobbs really is lovely though.. good luck with the diet !

I love the Sandro pleated trench (have just bought it in navy which only has pleats at the back rather than all the way around)

I've been eyeing up the mango trench coat for a while. Nice classic cut and good colours

I would love to be able to wear a classic trench coat, but they just make me look like Colombo 😭

I'm also short and gave up trying to find anything better than the Hobbs one. Have had it 3 years and it looks as good as new.

Ooh I bought one last year that's perfect if you're petite! I'm 5 ft 3 and didn't want anything that made me look like I was wearing a flasher mac

I could only get it in a size 12 so I've just lost 2 stone to get into it properly

Came on to say hobbs. Can't go wrong. I got the shorter one (Sara?) and its perfect. Will never go out of style and stays in great condition.

@Beenheresomanytimesbefore it is very nice. Ties very nicely at the back too if you don't wish to wear it buttoned and belted.

And it doesn't scream 'look at me in my trench coat!!' - or it could just be me who has these thoughts

I have the same coat. I'm 5'9" and it fits well. I'd think it would overwhelm someone a lot shorter.
